Lauterbrunnen
There exist few places that mesh so well as Interlaken and Lauterbrunnen. While Interlaken, meaning "between lakes", focuses more on the vast bodies of water that cover the region, Lauterbrunnen shows off the true beauty of the mountains that surround them. This valley, which is only a short train ride away from Interlaken, captures the essence of the mountains. The soaring formations that reside in the Bernese Oberland look over small, quaint villages; they're majestic, snow-capped peaks capture the attention of all who lay their eyes on them; it is truly a sight to see. With amazing local transit, miles of trails, and views that are destined to leave any in awe, this valley is one that I will never soon forget.
