White Sands in New Mexico is truly a one-of-a-kind place in the United States. These gypsum sand dunes are smooth and twinkle brightly when hit by the late afternoon sun. While on a road trip through the Southwestern United States, we made our way down to the southern section of New Mexico where this diamond-in-the-rough of a national park sits. While it's hard to get to, the experience of being there was worth every bit of trouble caused by the trip. It was truly a sight to see, and one that I hope everyone gets to experience at some point in their lives.
